Jane Aldridge on the 11th of October 2013

Jane Aldridge has to be my favourite blogger. Her posts are usually of the great outfits she puts together, and they're always super stylish and artistic. Her blog is a great place to go for inspiration.

The skirt she wore above is actually not crazy expensive, but it's out of stock, so unless they restock, here are a few alternatives.

The skirt on the left is a green tartan pattern, but it has the same high waist, full skirt and midi length. The middle option is great if you want the skirt a little shorter (15cm shorter) but keeps the full skirt and large check pattern. The skirt on the right channels the blue colour and check pattern seen in the original skirt, but offers a sleeker silhouette, whilst keeping the length.

The long sleeve black crop top balances out the voluminous and highly patterned skirt.

As for the shoes, a simple gold single sole strappy heel adds a touch of shimmery elegance, without overpowering the clothes (they also come in a more goldy gold colour, too).

Turtleneck Crop Top - $19.95 (USD)
Neutral Check Circle Skirt – 28.00 (GBP) (middle)
Blue/Camel Check Pencil Skirt – 22.00 (GBP) (right)

Know of any other great affordable options to copy this style? Let me know in the comments :)
